Laughter Yoga explained

Intentional laughter combined with yogic breathing, movement and play.

Laughter Yoga combines intentional laughter with breathing, gentle movement and playful group exercises. It does not depend on something funny happening first. The practice is guided in a safe, inclusive setting and can be adapted for workplaces, communities and online groups.

04

No expectations

Nobody is singled out or expected to entertain the room.

03

No pressure

You do not have to arrive happy or deny how you actually feel.

02

No poses

The yoga connection is mainly the breath, not mats, lycra or flexibility.

01

No jokes

The laughter is not built around comedy, punchlines or cultural references.

What you do not need

No jokes, yoga poses, flexibility or good mood required.

Inside a session

What happens in a Laughter Yoga session?

Tové adapts every session to the group, but most follow the same clear structure.

01

Arrive and breathe

Simple breathing and gentle movement help the group settle into the space.

02

Begin playfully

Tové introduces easy intentional laughter exercises without putting anyone on the spot.

03

Let the group connect

Eye contact, shared rhythm and permission often help the laughter become more natural.

03

Close and ground

The active part is followed by rest, reflection or relaxation so people leave settled.
