REFUND & RETURNS POLICY

Last updated: 4 August 2026

We want you to feel confident when purchasing from Laughter At Work. This policy explains the arrangements for physical products, digital content and event or training bookings purchased directly from us.

Nothing in this policy limits your statutory consumer rights.

1. Physical products: change-of-mind returns

When you buy most physical products online, you may cancel your order within 14 days beginning on the day after you, or a person nominated by you, receives the goods.

To cancel, email hello@laughteratwork.com with your name, order number and a clear statement that you wish to cancel. You do not need to provide a reason.

After telling us that you wish to cancel, you must return the item within 14 days. We will provide the return address and instructions.

Please return products in their original condition and packaging where reasonably possible. You may inspect an item as you would in a shop, but we may reduce the refund to reflect any loss in value caused by handling beyond what is reasonably necessary to establish the item’s nature, characteristics and function.

Unless the product is faulty, damaged or incorrect, you are responsible for the direct cost of return postage. We recommend retaining proof of postage.

2. Refunds for change-of-mind returns

For an eligible return, we will refund the price paid for the product and the cost of our least expensive standard delivery option. Any extra amount paid for premium or express delivery is not refundable unless the order was faulty, damaged or incorrect.

We may withhold the refund until we receive the returned item or you provide evidence that it has been sent back, whichever happens first. Refunds will be made without undue delay and no later than 14 days after that point, using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.

3. Exceptions to change-of-mind returns

The statutory right to cancel may not apply to certain products, including:

  • personalised or made-to-order items

  • sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons once unsealed

  • digital content after supply has begun with the customer’s express consent and acknowledgement, as explained below

Any relevant exception will be clearly stated before purchase.

4. Faulty, damaged, incorrect or misdescribed products

Physical products must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described.

If an item arrives damaged, faulty, incorrect or not as described, contact hello@laughteratwork.com as soon as possible with your order number. Photographs may help us resolve the issue quickly, but they do not replace your legal rights.

Depending on the circumstances and the applicable law, you may be entitled to reject the item for a refund, or receive a repair or replacement. We will cover reasonable return costs where the item is faulty, damaged, incorrect or misdescribed.

5. Digital products and downloads

For digital content that is not supplied on a physical medium, you normally have a 14-day cancellation period from the date the contract is made.

If you ask for access or downloading to begin during that period, we will ask for your express consent and acknowledgement that you will lose the right to cancel once supply begins. Where that valid consent and acknowledgement have been obtained and supply has begun, a change-of-mind refund will not normally be available.

This does not affect your rights where digital content is faulty, not as described or not supplied with reasonable care and skill. If you cannot access a digital purchase or believe it is faulty, email hello@laughteratwork.com and we will help.

Digital products purchased through Podia or another external platform may also be governed by the terms shown on that platform at checkout.

6. Workshops, sessions and training

Unless a specific event listing or written agreement states different terms, the following commercial cancellation policy applies to public workshops, sessions and training:

  • 14 days or more before the event: full refund or transfer to another available date

  • 7–13 days before the event: 50% refund or transfer, where available

  • fewer than 7 days before the event: non-refundable; a transfer may be offered at our discretion

  • non-attendance without notice: non-refundable

To cancel, email hello@laughteratwork.com. The timing of a cancellation is based on when we receive your email.

These commercial terms are subject to any statutory cancellation rights that apply to your booking. Certain services related to leisure activities on a specific date or during a specific period may be exempt from the usual distance-selling cancellation right.

If a service begins during a statutory cancellation period at your express request, you may be required to pay for the part supplied before cancellation. If the service is fully performed after you expressly requested early performance and acknowledged the effect on your right to cancel, that right may be lost.

7. Corporate bookings

Corporate bookings are normally governed by the proposal, quotation, invoice or written agreement issued for that booking. Those agreed terms take priority over the public event schedule above.

8. Cancellation or rescheduling by Laughter At Work

If we cancel an event or service, you may choose a full refund of the amount paid to us or a transfer to an available alternative date.

If we reschedule, you may accept the new date, transfer to another available date or request a refund of the amount paid to us.

Except where the law requires otherwise, we are not responsible for separate travel, accommodation or other costs you arrange. We recommend using flexible bookings and suitable travel insurance where appropriate.

9. Contact and returns

Before returning an item, please contact us so we can provide the correct instructions.
