As a Laughter Yoga Master trainer in Belfast, I often have discussions with teams in Northern Ireland (and when I travel down to Dublin and other places in Ireland) about how little they laugh at work. Sometimes laughter feels awkward. For some people, they feel excluded. The worst is when people feel they have been laughed at. That is NOT my vibe at all. This is why Laughter Yoga is so different. It's not really laughing at something and it certainly is NOT laughing at someone. It's laughter as a relief. Yes, I agree with most people that laughter is often seen as a simple reaction to humour, but its impact goes far beyond momentary amusement.
